Get fit on a budget!

Don’t want the cost of a gym?
Try your local YMCA or community center. Most offer very
low cost rates to use their exercise equipment and pools.

Or work out at home.
The easiest and cheapest exercise is Walking. Walk the dog,
walk your baby in the stroller. Walk to see the sights. Walk
to the store. Walk to work. Walk just to walk.
Walking is the easiest, cheapest way to exercise.  Get a great
pair of sneakers and you are on your way.

Add some resistance training.
Get some
hand weights, 2 or 3 lbs…or elastic bands.  Great
way to amp up your fitness level for very little cost.

If you or your kids have
Wii Fit, use it!  It is a great, fun way
to exercise. Get the whole family involved and make it
family time as well.

Go to your local video store or local library  and rent a
work out video.  Check your cable provider. They may
have a
fitness channel that you can utilize. Choose what
you like, pilate's, yoga or aerobics, whatever your
preference. Work out at home.

Weather permitting, try the local
swimming pool.
Swimming is a great form of exercise.
Find a buddy to be accountable to. Ask them to exercise with you. Or
maybe you could check in with them weekly to report how your diet and
exercise program is going.

If you get bored easily, mix it up a bit. Do yoga one day and aerobics the
next. Walk the third day and swim the next.
Above all...make that commitment and stick to it. You can do it!
